LEARNING AT AISA

Supported by the U.S. Department of State's Office of Overseas Schools, AISA delivers an American curriculum based on the challenging academic standards that have been developed by Project AERO (American Education Reaches Out), see www.projectaero.org, and are linked to the New York Common Core.

Born and trained in the U.S., our teachers are all native English-speakers, who are familiar with best instructional practices, and are able to successfully differentiate in the classrooms, providing a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment.

During the challenges of COVID, AISA did not skip a beat. When the Algerian government closed schools on Thursday, March 14, 2020, AISA was fully on line by Sunday. Whether we are delivering instruction online or in person, our teachers are well-trained and ensure students are learning.

Additionally, our mission is to provide students with the knowledge of and appreciation for different world cultures, including those of our host country, so that they develop a respect for each other and for our planet. Our goal is to help students develop respect for each other and for the world we live in.

Finally, our mission is to ensure that students have developed the skills so they can move easily into American and other English-speaking international schools when they leave AISA.
